The first step that I need to take when it comes to building niche squeeze page is to find an email friendly niche to build it in.
Is The Niche an Evergreen Niche?
An evergreen niche is one that has information that is in demand at all times of the year.
Take weight loss for example.
People are ALWAYS trying to lose weight. Doesn’t matter what time of the year it is.
There are times of the year when people try to lose weight more than others… But you’ll never find a time when someone is not trying to lose weight.
Is There a Lot Of Information Available in the Niche?
A key hallmark of an evergreen niche is that there is a whole lot of info available, and new information constantly being released. You’ll need access to a lot of information because you want to have a lot of things to talk about in your emails.
Can I Translate That Information Into Fun Digestible Emails?
Since email is going to be my primary communication method… I have to be able to take the information that is available and talk about it in a fun and helpful way. If I can’t do that, I will not go into that niche.
It’s as simple as that.
Are People Spending Money in the Niche?
Just because there’s a lot of great info available about a topic… And you can talk about it in a fun and impactful way…
Doesn’t mean that you can make money from doing it!
Especially if there aren’t a lot of digital products available to promote. Which leads to the next question.
Are There Lots of Digital Products to Promote?
While you do have the option of promoting physical products if you want…I choose to stay in the digital products sphere And there has to be plenty of them to promote. An easy way to get the answer to the last 2 questions is to first check the Clickbank Marketplace for products in your potential niche.
You need to be able to find at least 5-7 of them. Another great place to check for digital products in your niche is Offervault.
Offervault is basically an affiliate offer aggregation site. It mostly consists of CPA offers, but promoting CPA offers is a great way to monetize a list as well.
One last method that you can use to find products to promote is to check out blogs and forums that are in the niche. Blogs usually have advertisements on them that promote products that are in the niche… And people usually recommend products and services in forums.
Finally, last but not least…
Do the Products You Want to Promote Have Good Stats?
The last thing that you want to do when you built your email list is recommend bad products or services to your subscribers.
Not only will you lose credibility with them very quickly… But they will unsubscribe from your list as well And you definitely don’t want that. Most affiliate platforms like Clickbank have a metric that you can look at to determine how popular a product is.
On Clickbank it’s called gravity and CPA networks tend to use the term EPC (earnings per click).
The higher those numbers are, the better. Be sure to look at them once you start choosing affiliate products to promote.
Now You Know How to Pick The Niche!
Now you know the criteria that I use to pick an email friendly evergreen niche…
And now I need to choose one.
I’m going to spend the next few days doing my research And I plan on telling you what niche I chose soon. If you wan’t to get in on this Niche Squeeze Duel with me, then jump right in. I look forward to see what type of success you experience as well.
